Hey boys. Heres a little medical advice for you guys.

Next time you take a pee....watch to see if bubbles pop up in the water.

Now of course..some bubbles will come and go. The quicker the better.

If..when you pee...you create a more frothy and large area of denser bubbles...that stay around a long time, you may have kidney issues.

The bubbles...or more accurately, the froth, is created when there is PROTEIN in your urine. The protein, much like egg whites, causes the bubble to 'stick together' and hang around on top of the water NOT GOOD!

You want the bubbles to break up quickly.

The more protein the more froth. The protein may well be coming from blood in the urine (you may not see the actual blood). Or there may be other sources of protein.

Either way....IF YOUR CREATING FROTH...go see the doctor.

( A MEDICAL ADVISORY BULLETIN FROM FRANK :) )

And trust me...you DON'T want Kidney issues!!!

That's hard to do when your writing your name in the snow, but I'll try to pay more attention or better yet ask someone else to do it.

Actually good advice . I'm just being silly waiting for Rogers Cable. I can't use the phone a lot cause they might call.

I don't gots nuthin serious....Dr says an old football injury that causes the incresed levels.

But it could happen to anyone who has had bad sickness.

Kidneys that don;t work properly...cause all kinds of issues...particularly for the heart.

Just keep an eye boys is alls Im sayin!!!

Your right..A urine test..like blood test, can show a Dr a lot....ie: incresed white blood cells can indicate viruses, cancer and a whole whack of things.

And urine does too!!

But rarely does a test get ordered without a reason.....
Im just pointing out a 'self diagnosis' that may give a Dr. a 'reason'!!!!

I agree.

I think 1andun's point was if I don't know to look for this and my doctor doesn't ask me, how do I know I'm at risk?

I think a good common sense resolution would be to request blood and urine work be done on a frequent basis. As to what frequency (ex. yearly, every 3 years, etc.) I don't know. If there's any doctors in the house, please chime in.

so this old man goes in for his annual physical and the doctor tells him that he'll need to provide urine, stool and blood samples.

He is a bit hard of hearing and ask "what did you say?"

his wife sitting beside him leans over and tells speaks loudly into his ear; "harold, he said he needs you to give him your underwear."
lol.

There must be someone at my work who has this problem. Sometimes when I go the the urinal to tinkle there is a fair bit of foam there, like someone just poured a beer. Never thought anything of it till now. Maybe I should post this on the wall above.
