What a great game. They started off slow but got their game on and completely dominated! 8 - 0...do I hear GOLD???
In jest..of course...it was Norway....there are a lot of good teams in this tourney....lets not get ahead of ourselves, the way CTV and TSN did with some of the athletes they promoted over the last 2 years...

Good game. If we keep it up, then it's Gold time.
The result tonight is totally irrelevant.

It can only be looked upon as slightly more than an intrasquad scrimmage.

Do you think that would have got by Brodeur?
Brodeur is getting inconsistent in his old age. Against the Leafs he looked pretty ordinary. Why can't the Leafs get a sniper like Heatley? Do you know that the Leafs are almost one of the teams that doesn't have a 20 goal scorer at this stage of the season?

On a side note... why are the Swedes and Finns hockey powers while Norway is not? You barely hear of any Norweigens(sp?) in the NHL. And it looks like they do not field competitive teams in the Olympics. But their Nordic neighbors certainly do.

actually there was: thorensen (I think his name is) and forsberg. Probably more if you do a search.

But as the backup goalie said to one of the commentators: we don't have ANYone in the league that can shoot like that........

I think it was the fourth goal where D to D pass, right wing to left wing to centre back to right and in the net. They were putting on a hockey clinic last night....Jesus.

Now they weren't perfect, but damn, what a fricken game.

You have to hand it to Norway. They gave it their best and didn't give up even down to the last minute. As stated, the first period was pretty equal but then TC opened up the taps. They seemed to win most battles on the board, seemed to be more polished.

Awesome game considering it was the first time they really played together......

And yeah, Sid the kid was pretty quiet.
