The Runway was on Upper James, but closed in 1980 or 81. There was also the Jamesway Motel--also on Upper James. Briefly, too, there was a basement club in 1982 on king right downtown--not to be confused with the one at Bannisters. Wasn't there also a club somewhere in Dundas?

Sc

The only reason that Hamilton Strip has lived it's time, I think, is because of the parking and the bus stop is close by.
Although it is not an anonymous place to enter; it was when they had the back door open, but they closed it maybe because of LE.

Any strip club that remains open in Canada or any business of any kind I believe is PARKING. When I drive in TO to see a festival or event I drive by a SC, not that I am looking, but if I have time I try to drop in, man what a waste of time it is to look for a parking spot and then worry about the time.

Then there is cover charge. Penthouse in NF changed from $5 to $10 from September to October. Back in September long weekend I was the third guy in, you think they would have said "I'll let you in for free Mr.". This actually happen to me in the US, cover charge was $10 but bouncer said I charge you $2.00 but don't tell you friends. The place was dead. I think I was the third guy there.

Back in October I heard a patron tell the waitress "why should I buy a drink when I already paid $10 cover charge?"

Like someone said to me before " If I am paying more than $5 cover charge they better guaranttee me a girl when I walk out."

The Hamilton Strip

Thats one of the reasons I like the Strip and I stop in there quite often , sometimes for just a quick beer and out . NO COVER ! the gold is closer for me but I will always go to the strip , sometimes to met up with a bud have a beer or 2 talk about work etc . If they had a cover charge that would change my frequent visits and the amount of beer consumed , the talent is good there too . It was my first nudie bar when I was 17 , thats when the drinking age went from 21 to 18 , ( had fake ID ) didn't we all . LONG LIVE THE STRIP !!! Bart:D

Halloween night

THe strip is a hit and miss for quality girls.
They are there but.. For example Halloween night the only great looking woman was the waitress she was dressed as an Arabian dancer. If you ever seen Ben Hur you would understand.

The rest of the girls were just average. I notice that in the past month. I usually go once a month or 6 weeks apart.

Maybe the better girls are taking the month off or something. Something being back to school or on holidays.

The Hunt Club in Grimsby

Yeah, I have Been to The Hunt Club in Grimsby. It took me three years to see the place. Yes, It had a modified Barber Chair with the so-called stage bilt around it and it also have frame built above the barber chair with the thick rope thar has a knot on the end. This is called "The Sexecutioner" It cost $10.00 per song.

Now, I will Shar this with you this, I have asked one of the selected girl to have the "sexecutioner" session. She will strap you on the armrest of the barber chair, wait for the song when that starts the girl will dance above you for the song. It was Awesome!!!

This is not like a lapdance!

Cheers!!

There was also the Hotline on Kenilworth. It's boomers now?

New Yorker was on HWY 6 South, or Upper James.

There was the Hunt club in Grimsby just outside of the Hamilton area.
New Yorker was Upper James.

The Dynamic Duo - wow, who remebers that act ?

Some guy named Sweet Pie, he used to do an act and draw and swing his pecker around. This was at Bannisters, sorta like intermission between the girl stage shows.

Also, some large large lady used to do an act as well. Forget her name.

I remember that dude.

I remember that really large woman too. First time I saw her was at Hanrahan's. I was leaning up against the bar waiting for a brew and someone from behind starts giving me a reacharound. "Yeah" I'm thinking, "this could be a fun afternoon...", turned around and it was her. All 450 pounds of her. Didn't eat right for a week. Forget her name... Sparkles maybe... more of a comedy act than anything and all in good fun.

Also had some good times at a SC on HWY 20 called Porky's at the time. Think it's a parking lot now, or maybe a new building got put up on the old site. Not sure. There was also a SC in the flat iron building at the delta when I was a kid. We used to head over and hang out by the doors, trying to get a peak when someone came out. This was the mid to late 60's.
