I had an appointment with a client this evening, he made it this morning,,,4 hr outcall I told him to call at 6 to confirm his 8 appt.
I noticed around lunch time that my throat was beginning to feel sore,,,,,by dinner time (now) it really hurts and I feel the beginnings of a cold coming on...yippee So I sent my guy a text telling him I was really sorry but I was not feeling well and did not want to give him my sore throat so could we reschedule. He just called me and said in a very sarcastic voice "thanks for calling me in person to cancel instead of sending me a rogers text message" then hung up on me........??????
I feel really bad that I had to cancel but thought I was doing the discreet thing by sending a text,,,,plus it hurts my throat to talk. Was I wrong?

No, you didn't do wrong. I've had SP's show up sick trying to cover it up with antihistamines and Halls.

One suggestion would have been to elaborate more on your symptoms - if an SP wants to cancel on a client the 'not feeling well' is often used. So saying, "I started to get a sore throat today at lunch and now it is really sore it might be strep - do you still want to go ahead with the 4 hrs? I can't even talk it is that bad" would have made him feel that the ball was in his court so to speak. Still, better for the client just to accept cancellations without sarcasm (and that goes for SPs too of course).

I can understand him being disappointed , but to act like a child will get you no where . and you told him you did not want to give him a sore throat so you were looking out for his health..

Depending on how serve your sore throat was . you didn't want to strain it. you did let him know you had to cancel. either it was a phone call or text messages I wouldn't worry about it to much.

it seems this time of month things are changing and people are slowing down and feeling under the whether. you did whatever was possible to let the client know your not available.

Yes you were wrong. When he got there you should have restricted him to daty, and substituted anal for you blowing him. Do we have to tell you everything?
