It was funny when the crowd started singing nah nah nah nah nah nah hey hey goodbye and then Maple Leafs scored twice.

Thank god it was only the Leafs that were getting the one point from the Habs blown lead.

It would suck if its a team that could potentially eliminate you for the final spot in the playoff bracket. But alas, its merely the Maple Leafs, who only move one point closer to 29th place in the NHL.

Toskala's glove is better than Raycroft's. Leafs have almost no shooters that can consistantly hit "top corner" shots while moving at any speed. They are masters of hitting the goalie in square in the chest, making guys like Halak look much better than they are.

Kessel is supposed to be a great shootout shooter. Back on Tuesday.
Yep he is the answer.
All problems now solved.
Book Yonge St. for the parade.

No pressure from fans and idiot Leaf media at all.

I feel so sorry for this guy.
What was he thinking signing and/or being traded to the Laughs?
Terrible decision.
He'll regret leaving Boston within 6 weeks.

Regardless of the score last night and the "excitement" of the Leafs coming back to tie only to lose in a shoot out... I thought I was watching an AHL game. When comparing the history of these two teams... the talent on the ice last night was depressing.

I don't care how "exciting" the last few minutes were... both of these teams are an embarassment right now.

He was traded, so he had no control over where he plays this season. He was an unsigned RFA. Boston put their priorities elsewhere because in spite of his on ice production, he was a bad influence in the dressing room. The only choice he had was to take $2m less with Boston. And what kind of an idiot would do that?

Don't believe for a minute that Phil Kessel didn't have a hand in where he was dealt. That's why I said "signed and/or traded". The leafs and bruins were in talks for weeks about this trade and if you believe Kessel and his agent weren't invovled then I have a bridge I really need to sell you.

LOL well dj, I don't generally put lots of money down on my knowledge of the inner workings of restricted free agency, so I am afraid you are out of luck on that bridge deal. So enlighten me. How and why were Kessel and his agent involved in the deal? Isn't that what no movement/no trade clauses are for? As far as I know, Kessel didn't have one. So why would Bruins management want to consult with the player and his agent about where he is going to play after he is traded?

No team will take on a player of Kessel's talent in a trade considering what they would have to give up to get him and not know whether they could sign him. In other words the team getting Kessel would have to know he would sign with them before they would make the deal.
The Leafs did not just deal away two firsts and a second and were just hoping he would sign with them, they knew ahead of time which was proven when he signed as soon as the deal was announced.

Makes sense. Thanks.
