This is definately an expensive hobby. I didn't start indulging in this hobby until I started making some serious income.

Dude, you are putting yourself in a very dangerous situation :(

Given your "addiction"/"rush" to fix the cravings and the "withdrawal symptoms" you experience after that, you are going to ruin and drive yourself into bankrupcy. It doesn't matter how much you earn for a living, be $45K or $150K annually before tax.

I am not saying you should stop hobbying but moderation is preferable. Try to spend your time at gym doing work out to have stress relief instead of dwelling on banging all the "hotties" money can buy.
And to get out, first thing is to kill your TERB account and do not even get on the advertising section to find out who's available.

I quit the hobby a while back, and can't believe how much extra cash I have since then. It's an eye opener.

Exactly but make sure you don't waste those extra cash on speculation, i.e. call/put options or investing in penny stocks ;)

You really have to set your priorities. When I was hurting for money I limited my hobbying appropriately. I'd rather hobby than take an expensive vacation, so I would sit on the back porch and read a book during my time off. I'd rather hobby than eat at expensive restarants, so I would just have Kraft Dinner alot ... and so on.
I really saved a hell of a lot of money by quitting smoking. I noticed it first because my trips to the ATM for cash went from three times a week to one, but its a tough thing to do.
Hobbying is good for my soul. Thats why I continue doing it. But if I can only afford it once every two months so be it. Thats better than nothing.

They I am refering to are financial advisors and all those debt tv shows out there. they could be wrong since my life budget is also a work budget.

Like when I get my hair done its mostly to look sexy for clients. if I was single and had a square job I would probably cut off all my hair again into a pixie cut or become a dread lock.

Spa treatments, lingerie, sex toys, condoms, I am sure if I was an average girl I would probably have one vibrator tuck away in my panty draw.

so maybe if hobbying is really a passionate hobby then you might need to set aside a seperate savings account for it.
Your getting very poor advice from your financial advisor's if they tell you 25% of your after tax $ should be spent on fun

I just did an analysis and realize this hobby is too expensive for me and I don't have a house or mortgage yet either.

Average Weekly Take-Home Pay - $900
Bills/Personal - $320
Vacation - $50
Savings - $450

Leaves me $80/week. Now if i go every 2 weeks, it's $160 for a 40 min session with an MPA. If I go every 4 weeks, that's $320 for a high-end SP.

So every 2 weeks, I get a 40 min section or a 1 hour section every 4 weeks. Sounds so little Might as well not do it, i need more money
Stop complaining, my friend. You are richer than me, a homeless Toronto man :D

I was just looking at my finances over the last little while, it appears that I spent $27K in cash over the last six months. That does not include gas, restaurants or anything like that. It would include hobbying, related expenses such as hotels and meals with women, plus non-hobby things that I can't put on my credit card, such as dependents with their hands out. But likely $15-20K on hobbying, mostly at $400 to $500 for a half day, with a meal and a hotel.

Fortunately, my stocks made more than that over the same time frame, but you can not exactly count on that forever. I am not sure that I really want to cut down on my spending though, I feel that I have been getting my money's worth. I guess I had better make sure that I keep making it.

That sounds reasonable. It approximates my net income and hobbying fund. If you partake more often you would be making a lifestyle out of it.

You are earning decent money my friend.
As others said, since you are single, you can afford to spend a bit on hobbying. Maybe save a bit less and enjoy with that sum. You cant have an all win win.

Else try finding a GF or hitting pubs on weekends. It works.

There's another option. 1/2 hr with a high-end sp.. some like myself offer that option.

I'm sure there are also mid-priced sp's who offer around 160 or 180 for a full hour if you look.

Nofah. Those guys don't hobby. Public or known figures who are known to be filthy rich get laid for free because women look at them with the bigger picture in mind and sleep with them in hopes of obtaining it.....
But there's an inherent danger in hooking up with that type of woman.

Simpler and easier to pay for it with a woman who doesn't have a clue who you are, or how much you're worth.

which reminds me of the saying ''you don't pay a hooker for sex. You pay her to leave''

Maybe I missed it. Why are you saving $450 a week?

We all have our vices. One of my friends pays $16,000 a year for Maple Leaf season tickets. Now that is sheer stupidity:(.

Since you are saving $450 a week, that is $20,000 a year, $200,000 (not counting interest) in 10 years and $2 million dollars in 100 years. 100 years from now you can have all the escorts you want with your $2million:cool:.
