Best Steak in T.O.

Okay this is my excuse to finally learn how to post a poll.... My heart is breaking after finding out that the owner of Carman's has decided to close the doors after 50 years. I've been going there at least 5 or 6 times a year for the last few years.

I've been to all the places on the list except Hy's - how is it? Who do you think has the best steak in Toronto...any hidden gems? I've included Carman's as well even though it's closed.

Never been to Carman's but then I'm not from "the city"... I've had great steaks at Ruth's, The Keg and Morton's though. Also had an awesome steak at Trattoria Timone in Oakville a couple weeks ago! (served with wild mushrooms and madeira wine sauce)

Looks like I may have missed out on Carman's...

Carman's is a great loss, ll good things come to an end.

As far as Bigliardi's is concerned, George went to hell and a handbasket when he took on OTB. He put more into that than the restaurant.

Gotta find a new place now. May have to go with another of the oldtimers, Barberians.

Absolutely agree.
The keg is horse meat compared to Harbour Sixty.

I don't think you can edit polls once posted - both are just "other". Anyway why would you listen to a vegetarian about where to include in a best steakhouse poll? I'm just throwing them out there because I like the wine lists. :-}
