Well, no, they get close to 60% of their funding from grants and private donations. The rest comes from Federal and State governments.

I seldom watch any TV anymore but
The Public Broadcasting System is an Oasis over the vast wasteland that is Commercial Television today. PBS shows overall are better than the major networks and Cable TV combined.
Commercial Television today just keeps getting worse. Farking Infomercials should be banned! Some shows seem to have as many commercials as content and most show content today is poorly written crap anyways!
They are even farking up NFL Football games now. I still enjoy watching an NFL game but even those are being jammed with so many commercials the last two years, that the game quality is suffering!
When folks start reviewing, talking about and getting excited about watching FARKING COMMERCIALS on their 50" TVs, something is definitely out of whack...

You won't find me in disagreement. NOVA, Frontline, Charlie Rose, Ken Burns who's latest documentary chronicles the formation of the National Parks, other historical documentaries too numerous to mention. I'm sure I'm forgettting something. If the old folks need their Lawrence Welk reruns that's fine with me. I don't have to watch it and it's a small price to pay.
I saw a fantastic infomercial a few months ago hosted by Kenny Rogers promoting a country music album by almost all the great country artists. I really enjoyed listening to such great country music.
Fabulous harmony, but I can't look at that John Phillips the same way now for continually sexually molesting his daughter and fucking with her mind by introducing her to drugs. She is a mess now, I'm just watching her on Larry King and it is really sad to see her, she is all screwed up, for life and she is almost 50! My gut tells me she won't have many years left, she really is not all there, those drugs really screwed her up.
What is interesting on this board is many of you guys are quick to condemn Michael Jackson for allegingly mollesting kids, although never proven, but for some reason we don't condemn Phillips for molesting his daughter, and with admission by both his daughters and her widow. Interesting to note the hypocrisy.
Both Michele and Chyna Phillips said they don't believe Mackenzie. I refuse to condemn anyone until the facts are clear. Where is the evidence?
Not true, I just saw a clip from Oprah where Chyna admitted it and Michele was quoted on Larry King as knowing about this for a long time.
Watch Larry King right now, a shrink is coming on soon to say whether Mackenzie will ever be sober again, I think it's chronic, no hope, really, really sad.
