How far should the Jays go to bring AJ back?

70 will be the lowest bid ....
Yeah I know... but I know some Jays fans that just want to get rid of him even if you can get him "cheap"...

He has a history of over extending himself in a contract year, being hurt the next year, and building back up to what he has been this year.

Tough call.

I'm very lukewarm on AJ. He's been a disappointment during his stay as a Jay. I think he's on contract drive mode. I'd love to see AJ back if I thought he could duplicate this year and see a one-two punch of Roy and AJ, with the Jays picking up a bat or two and with a full season under Cito.... but I don't know if I can rely on him...

Let him go. He's been very good in the 2nd half, but thats about it for his tenure as Jay, too inconsitent. For a guy who strikes out a lot of batters, his ERA shouldn't be over 4.00. Although you could also argue with Marcum out for the year, maybe they pay that extra money to keep him now??

Agreed. I have heard that something like $60 million for 4 years is already being discussed.
