Should there be a separate forum for CL ads

For the guys who are into CL, they can find their target threads more easily. "CL" doesn't work in a search.

For the guys who totally want to avoid CL they don't have to waste their time sifting through what is and what isn't CL.

Threads related to TERB advertisers (the ones who pay the bills here) will be much easier to find. I'm sure they would be more thankful for potential clients being able to more easily read the reviews pertaining to them.

Pain in the ass for the mods? I don't know.

Only two choices here. If you don't care, then it means you don't vote.

I've been suggesting this for a while now but lately it seems I've noticed more members also bringing this up as a good idea. To me it seems similar to when they split out incalls from outcalls. Simply easier to find what you're looking for.

I suggested FOR it a few times.
IF we dont: (almost) all CL reviews are totally worthless, unless a good, stable provider decides to advertise the same way again again. The bad apples put multiple ones, change on the spot....
If we do it, but not right, same happens.

If done right, probably has to be like H.B. review does, list all ads (copy) as they appear, so we can link them, or refer them as ad on CL appearing 9.19.08 with.....phone number. also if removed/flagged, terb still has it, so it can be referenced to a later ad on CL

Just rely on search on CL is worthless, what are you searching? what a bad apple did yesterday under a totally different name, maybe number?

Without such, terb is basically worthless as an aid to review CL, may work on some consistent, stable providers who want to be.

What I'd really like to see is a separate section for people offering information (I.e. Reviews) and all the "any info on xyz??" posts.

I advertise all over the freaking place, cl included but I do vote 'yes' cause I hear most of the adds there are apparently b/s. Although, if there is going to be a special place just for CL should there not be for all the other popular advertising places?

while i may advertise on CL, most people know me through this site.

the truth is most CL girls are pimped out by unreputable agencies and indivduals. and for the girls that advertise on both...well, IMO, any girl that joins terb is showing an independence that would set her aside from the other CL fair.

i know from chatting with my clients...there are certainly some hobbiest that will see CL girls and independents...but there are many that would rather stay away from the BS (and other human rights related issues) that are rampant on CL.

I think that the review forums should be for reviews,instead most days, at least half the threads are guys asking questions about CL sp,s ,which really dilutes the actual reviews,so my op. is we should have a seperate forum for questions,and u get "promoted" to the review section only after adding some usefull review in that section

So you are saying the craigslist section should only include questions/inquiries....but craigslist reviews stay amongst the other review sections?

You don't need any formal training to recog that the main problem with the review sections of this board is that the amount of questions =outflow of information tends to outweigh the inflow=reviews .
The main underpinning of outflow/questions revolves around Craigslist sp,s,who are almost always not well reviewed,or if reviewed badly will up and change their names,tel nos to play cat and mouse with real information sharing.
The market construct of CL sp's and agencies is fugitive and is typified by what Mya touched on =no accountability which doesn't reflect what the review board is meant to be,either in terms of identifying who is being reviewed precisely or in 90% of cases who is doing the reviewing,not that happens much anyway
The main arguement against mine has being made by Fred=Terb is unique because it is a demorcracy dictated by the marketplace isa strong one but breaks down when u actually discover that the vast amount of CL threads contain zero booking zero review just tons of inane questions

It seems to be a common sentiment now that it's been opened up to discussion. Just about 80% want it separated out?

Does the general population have any input into as to how the board is set up for their convenience as long as it does not provide undue hardship to the powers that be?

Having a separate formum for CL is a wondeful idea whose time has come. There are a lot of folks here who post on CL and many who find services on CL. Many have complained that responding to a CL ad is dicey, like a game of chance. A review section here could make selecting off of CL a lit bit less like a game of chance. Terb can change to better meet the needs of our group, why not?
