Im no longer a proud fan of my home town Leafs Ive really had enough. The Fucking Shit head management do not care about putting a compettive team on the ice and only care about the million dollar season ticket platinum members.

Why cant you other fans of this shit pathetic gross club understand they (the MLSE Group) do not care about winning and understand every game will sellout no matter what.

You may think I have no clue, but just think of all the None hockey markets that have great teams with exciting young talent such as http://www.nhl.com/nhlstats/app
or just watch Nashville, carolina, Colorado, Atlanta, Ovechkin, SanJose, Ottawa (only because they have been shit for so long and have a Torontonion owner that wants to win)

the reason why the leafs have no young talent is that they keep trading it away for bums like renberg, berg, richael and the biggest bum of all Owen Nolan they gave up Brad Boyes whos turning into a good player in boston now, a 1st rounder and something else i can't recall!!!

I agree. The Leafs are the most profitable team in the NHL. And don't don't even win games...go figure. As long as we keep paying high ticket prices and selling out games, why should they pay more for better talent when they can just pocket the cash.

Every single franchise in the last 25 years has drafted a player who turned out to be a superstar EXCEPT the Toronto Maple Leafs (sorry W. Clarke wasn't a superstar). No one has drafted worse than Toronto has.

The Toronto Maple Leafs franchise has the best season ticket subscriber renewal percentage of any North American pro sports franchise (over 99.5%). The only way you can get in on that is if someone dies and then someone else on the long waiting lists get in.

Whether they win or lose, over 1 million people tune in to watch them every Saturday without fail.

CONCLUSION: They are making serious money hand over fist so why should they spend millions more for a REAL chance at a cup when there is no single egotistical face/owner of the organization who wants to realise that dream?

Fuck I try to stay out of these threads but..they really do make me sick to my fucking stomach!! I wonder if MC Cabe and Belak get extra points for every give away and dumb ass penalty? And if they aren't going to produce at least the fucking pilons should defend their teamates when they're getting beatup and abused by the other teams. I feel sorry for the young guys and Sundin...they'll have to go elsewhere if they want to be on a winning team.

Absolutely correct on the D - Men

Cnd-Guy said:
The $6.5 m D man ( McCabe ) was never know to be a solid defenceman . He was great year last year but now everyone knows to take away his point shot on the PP. And he's signed for five year, no trade, no waiver, no demote , no nothing

The $ 2 m D man ( Gill ) is a 6 ' 8 " pylon

The $ 2.5 m goalie plays in front of a crap team
but the 2.5 mil goalie should be pulled for Aubin, Raycroft is a major player in the failure. It's not only the saves, but the saves in key situations. ...and against Ottawa, especially this last game, he did no do that. The team pulls within 1 goal..and unlike many Leaf goalies in thier prime...Belfour, Joseph ,...Raycroft does not seem to have that mental toughness not to allow the next goal. Yes, I know I debated an opposite point of view on Raycroft in another thread..but after watching the goals that were scored tonight...raycroft needs to sit for a few....and reduced ice time for Kaberle and McCabe wouldn't hurt either...both were brutal in this 2 game set...

I'm a Leaf fan always will be. Hate it when they lose, but once the game's over life goes on. I don't take it personally. However I do get a laugh when I read how upset some people get. People chill. It's a long season, they'll win some, lose some, get their asses handed to them and when we least expect it, surprise us with a big win. It's pro sports. Enjoy the ride.

'there's still a lotta hockey left, if we do well we will be in the playoffs'- Captain Mats Sundin on March, 25, 2006.

that night the leafs lost to Montreal 6-2
two nights before the leafs also lost to the same team 5-1
after that game, the leafs went 9wins, 1loss, and 2 OT losses. incredible performance, but Mats was wrong... there wasn't enough hockey left.

BTW- he said something along the same thing tonight... "it's a long season..." Oct. 27, 2006.
he even said it under similar conditions...
2 back to back blowout losses to the same team.

i guess the one good positive is that after the last time this happened, the leafs went on a tear.

Can you explain to me why a team that had one 6.5 million dollar defense man one 4.5 million dollar defenseman and one 2 million dollar defense man and a 2.5 million dollar goalie in the line up let it 13 goals in two games .. Hey
JFJ its time for you to stand in front of the media and explain this mess..
LFJ needs help on his vision and foresight in adapting to the new NHL. Amazing that the Leafs top management has not learned enough last season about the new NHL. How about fire JFJ and install our in house hockey expert Kathleen as GM??? The good doc is sure the Leafs will do a lot better in a hurry.

It's going to get worse for the leafs next saturday, as the leafs will be in Buffalo to play the high flying Sabres at a place where the leafs have little success when even if there defence isn't as bad as this year's is... so leaf nation don't be suprised if the leafs get steam rolled by a speed sabres squad almost like the sens, but better.

Boy are you wrong, are you ever wrong we have kaberle and Wellwood.
Just look at the scoring leaders, oh shit does my face look red.
Actually I think that Wellwood looks like he will be a good NHL player ... I can't understand why the leafs havent traded him for a no name 40+ year old player....

heck they could sweeten the deal and get rid of Steen as well ...

But the year is young ...
