CNN does this all the time.
As usual you believe Trump who does not know what Wikileaks is all about. But then he said that he knows more than all the Intel Agencies. So the most ignorant politician knows more than the Intel Agencies.

Bahahahahahahahahaha!!

I wonder if wiki leaks has some mega info bombs for this situation which Assange will leak at his extradition hearings if certain people do not back down

This should be interesting because Trump got elected thanks in part to Assange's leaks and now Trump is taking him down.... or will he give him a pardon or a slap in the wrist? Depends on what dirt Assange may have to spread in a courtroom. Otherwise, surely Trump would stab him in the back just like he did with Cohen.

The more I'm looking at this the more I see the charge of hacking as a fake charge to Get around the fact they can't charge for the dissemination of information.

This will end up at trial. And if a jury is used he will win. It's that weak.

Trump goes 'I know nothing about wikileaks' now that Assange is arrested.
During the election he praised them 140 times.
Now the man who brags about his memory says he knows nothing.

Dementia or lying?

I truly don't care where Trump or any other President us on this.

The DOJ wouldn't charge him because they considered the leaks, all of them, to be a first amendment issue and protected.

This is a fake charge and an attack on free speech, the press, and the public's right to know. It's truly chilling.

Tulsi Gabbard has released a statement and gone on air to condemn this. As should anyone who loves freedom of expression and holding power accountable.

Anything less is the slippery slope to Orwell.

Neither. You praise those who help you, even if unintentionally. You damn those who oppose. How difficult it must be to exist in your reality...

Assange pissed off a lot of the official Washington. And he really hurt Hillary. Even if the "journalists" wanted to protest, most of them are too dependent on the establishment. Had Assange sank Trump, he'd be a toast of the town with a very busy social calendar.

"Too dependent on the establishment".

Doesn't that statement scare the hell out of you? It's their JOB to be sceptical and to hold the accountable.

Anything less and they are no longer journalists or the 4th estate.

They are propagandists.

I see, so that's why Trump praises Putin and despots around the world and disses Trudeau, the EU and all functioning democracies.

Nice to see you picking the side of despots over democratic countries, really shows where you stand morally.

Your reality sucks.

Of course it's scary. The scariest part is that this bias is in the open. First time ever on that scale and that acceptable.

Right now I'd say several nations in their treatment of Assange are showing a bit of despotism themselves.

Britain, Ecuador, and the USA up front. Many more for standing by and doing nothing while this attack on freedom of information takes place.

Why does this surprise anyone. Trump would throw anyone under the bus if it's convenient. He has no loyalty or morality whatsoever

Assange is nothing but a Russian puppet. One needs to ask oneself why hasn't Wikileaks released information on Russia that was damaging or information which they claim to have. And why was the information Wikileaks released on Russia something that was not damaging to the government but something that was already known and well documented.
One thing about Assange is that he is loyal to no one, so just like Trump he will throw anyone under the bus if he has to. But I don't think that Wikileaks has any newer information left to release, anything they might have will be older information.

So he is loyal to no one, but he is a Russian asset?

Right there is the beauty of propoganda in action.

It was all good when he released the Iraq war peppers in the press. But release DNC emails showing corruption and heaven help you.

You got it.

Being a legit whistleblower exposing wrongdoing by governments was great.
But when he switched to releasing one parties emails in order to put another party in power it became electoral interference.

I supported him as a whistleblower but don't support anyone who tries to fuck up elections.
But I see you support electoral interference.

Or......

Only the Clinton Campaign rigged their primary. While the RNC ran a clean one. So there was nothing to report on.

Btw Assange is in no way being charged or held for anything to do with 2016.

The "charge" stems from his receiving documents from Chelsea Manning. Would you see Assange prosecuted solely for his outing of war crimes by the US military?
