Frank made some good points. And I'd slowly make my way south too. Might as well keep it simple and live in a place that is warm year round.
Food and water wouldn't be issue. There's enough canned stuff and bottled water to last years and as frankcastle said, growing your own vegetables can't be that hard for the future when all the current food spoils. I'm not a gardener, but if every other house out there can somehow grow basic stuff in their backyard, I'm sure I can learn it too.
I don't know how long bottled water even lasts. Maybe 10 years?
Then read some books on how to make bread from scratch, assuming all the ingredients at a store are rotten.
Health wise, the biggest issue would be how to treat serious infections. So unless you are someone already in medicine and know what to take, every other person would have to read up on it somewhere and find out what medicine to take and raid some drug stores and find it. And since the internet (electricity) is gone, you'd have to find some books or something.
Something more serious like needing surgery for critical injuries would be most people's ultimate doom. How many people know how to do it..... by themselves too? Hardly any.
Keeping warm shouldn't be issue once someone gets the hang of it. There's enough BBQ lighters/matches to create flames and keep warm.
Are wild animals still on Earth? If so, I'd ensure I arm myself with some protective gear and a big knife or spear. Who knows. Maybe packs of wild dogs will eventually roam around.
