Who is your least favorite Fan590 personality? I'm not a fan of most of the guys on the station. Only like Greg Brady and Tim Micallef.

Tim and Sid are both fantastic. Bob McCown and Mike Wilner are also excellent.
Brady and Lang suck though, I gotta admit.
Norm Rumack seems like a Neanderthal who should have been extinct through evolution yet he still has a job, I can't figure that one out.
Was never a big fan of Tim & Sid when they were on the score. But to be fair I prejudged them without giving them a fair chance. After having listened to the show a fair amount recently I now think Tim is great one of my faves on the station. Very versatile and knowledgeable. Sid is okay but he doesnt seem to be as knowledgeable or as versatile as his co-host.
I actually like Brady and Lang. I think they are knowledgeable and seem to watch a lot of games as well.
Not a big fan of the other guys on the station though I dont mind Jeff Blair. I know some dont like him but I think when it comes to baseball he knows his stuff.
I"m just glad that some of the pure hockey guys like Landry and Stellick have been replaced.
He seems like too much of a business of sports guy and not enough of a sports guy to me. He is funny though and is a good interviewer.

It's hard to believe how long he has been on the radio, especially considering he does seem to know much about sports in general, hockey in particular, and people listen to him rant and rant on and on.
Use to listen to him years ago. Got stale, turn it off, never went back.
Bob McCown, a guy way past his best before date.
I cannot stand Roger kiss-ass(not in a good way) Lajoie. What a fuckin' brown noser.
McCown is great. He likes to have fun and laugh. He has great camaraderie with his friends.
When it comes to hockey though, I take McCown with a grain of salt. He likes to think he knows hockey.

Mccown likes to think he knows about a lot of sports but often times we hear him saying "this game put my feet to sleep", "that game was unwatchable". With all the games that bore him I wonder if he is even a sports fan. He is funny though I'll give him that. Somehow I doubt Mccown would last in any American market though so he's fortunate he's working in Toronto.
There seems to be a lot of people who share your views on Blair. I'm probably in the minority in being a fan of him.
I still like McCown and his style, but he really needs to start covering new topics. It seems every week on the roundtable they are discussing concussions in hockey, hall of fame hockey players from the sixties and seventies, and steroids in baseball. Enough already.
Brunt is the best co-host. Cox is pretty good, but he's not on much anymore. Shannon is decent. Michael Grange is terribly boring...why is this guy in sports radio/journalism again?

I find Cos to be alright, but he is a bit of a McCown puppet. Brunt is good and will stand upto McCown if he feels it is worth the arguement.
Agreed with your point about Brundt. Brunt is not afraid to challenge Mccown and I get the sense that Brundt is more of a sports fan than Mccown is. Mccown is arrogant though and always thinks he is right. Either that know-it-all attitude of Bob's is part of his schtick or he is just that arrogant. I'm not sure which. And your right about Damien, he is good as well. Heck, both Brunt and Cox seem to know more about sports than Bob does. I'm not a big fan of Shannon. He knows his hockey very well but knows very little of anything else but tries to pretend that he does.
If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought I wrote that. I agree 100% with all of it but will say Brady & Lang are much better than the old Landry & Stellick and the short-lived Crystal Show.
I listen to McCowan's show fairly regularly and enjoy the show. His guests make the show. McCowan does have a better knowledge of most sports than he is given credit for, but his abrasive egotistical personality tends to piss listeners off. In my opinion, he is well respected by his peers which contributes to his credibility. However at time he does come across as an arrogant horse's ass!
Boycott the Fan 590, they are a joke. McCown is easily the biggest dumb ass in the biz. Oh how I long for the glory days of Marsden and Derringer in the morning. That was entertaining. At least they got rid of that dufus Don Landry.
I voted Jeff Blair, biggest ass in sports IMO. He is a Bobcat wanna be and really doesnt know much about sports to be honest. His topics are stupid and he just an all around ass. I do like Stephen Brunt as well. Smart, classy and knows his shit beyond the big 4. He also doesnt kiss McCowans ass like blair ect. Kypreos is annoying as well. There arent many I like on 590 to be honest. I prefer TSN lately
