24 year-old "Mr. Beast" turned down a $1 billion offer for his YouTube channel.

Amazing world we live in. If you're young, charismatic, creative, and sociable (not shy), the world is at your fingertips.

Never heard of him guess I'm just old
That's the beauty of our current world. Celebrity goes well beyond what's on TV or in movies now. Countless "ordinary" people are on social media getting that bag and the majority of people have never heard of them.

It's extraordinary to think that this guy could have sold and become instantly wealthier than 99% of Hollywood celebrities, yet he knows that the value of his channel is closer to $10 billion rather than $1 billion.

Imagine that boxing dude...Jake Paul and his brother...didn't even go through any amateur boxing competition and not a lot of fights under his belt and yet he's approaching mayweather $$$ over some of the best boxers in the world right now...sad and funny at the same time...it's a marketers world using the right platform to market themselves...even Lana Rhoades was able to exit porn and make $$$ without getting pounded now...

I don't know weather it's a good thing that some average Schmuck who in the real world would be just average can make a fortune but I guess it's the world we're living in now

These aren't average Schmucks. They're talented people who would not have necessarily been allowed by the media gatekeepers to make a fortune in times past. Now they can take their talents directly to a worldwide audience. If they were average, they would have no audience.

La la land
The guys has made a lot of good donations. TV and Other Hollywood Giants their themes or formats are getting old for new or younger crowd. Most people can't sit still in a cinema to see a movie. Every other movie I been to in the 2 years, people need or have this strange urge to see their cell. WTF?
