I hope this question isn't too personal and doesn't make anyone uncomfortable. If so, move on - please don't flame me or ridicule the question. Puns will be tolerated if that's all you can manage.

I'm installing two hanger rods in a bedroom closet and I'd appreciate some input on the heights you prefer. There used to be only one at 66" high, now I'm thinking of putting in two levels at 40" and 80" to get more use out of the space. On top will be a shelf for various items, a shoe rack and shelves for sweaters will be to the side.

I'd especially like input from the ladies who have a huge wardrobe of different types of clothes. Go check what you have with a measuring tape and see if it suits you. Imperial measurements only, please.

Nevermind, I googled it. But I appreciate further input from anyone.

In a standard 22-24" deep closet its 12" from back and 65-68" from the floor.
For a double closet rod, top rod 75-80" bottom rod 36-40" from floor.
