I was never into resolution when it comes to tv's, I have standard 1080p led tv's and a low res projector. I actually prefer to watch movies on the projector with
its 110" image for the theater experience even though the resolution is poor under todays standards.

Bought a 70 inch 4k and have never looked back. It does a great job of upscaling 1080p from non 4k sources and between PS4, Netflix and TSN/Sportsnet there's a decent amount of stuff on.

I have a top of the line, last gen Panasonic Plasma which rivals the Pioneer Kuro as the best picture available. (CNET used the Kuro as the benchmark for the last 7-8 years). Only the new OLED TVs have a better picture. So I won't be upgrading anytime soon. It fits perfectly in my living room, complemented by a 7.1 surround system. Friend's are blown away by the picture quality. It's the deep blacks that make the difference over LED TVs.

I still have my Samsung 1080p, it's paying for itself. It's connected to my Klipsch surround sound system, I' m not in a hurry to upgrade.

I tried to order an Amazon Fire from my account and was told it's out of stock. So far I haven't gotten any notice on when they'll have any - what's up with that?

I have an old Panasonic 720p Plasma and it still works great.
Have been thinking of upgrading, but dont see any reason to at the moment.

Once they do the total switch like they did with HD I will. But it was like what happened when they tried to push 3d within a few years. Consumers balked and said FU.

My present Sharp is ten years old and still works great. So no way do I need to upgrade.

My Panasonic Plasma is actually a 3D TV. But that's not why I bought it. In fact, I've never watched a 3D movie on it. Haven't even taken the glasses out of the package. I bought it because it was the best processor and picture at the time. It's my second plasma and I love the realistic colour tones, superb viewing angles (better than any LCD) and deep blacks. Great for watching sports. I did have it professionally calibrated, which helps any TV.

I had panasonic plasma for 10 years( I loved it) and I got an LG OLED 55 3D with curvy screen a year ago for 1300 CAD. It was a very good deal and I'm so happy with this true black TV. Amazing for my eyes. I think this OLED TV-s are the best on the market.

That's a great price. And yes, according to CNET, OLED TVs are the best picture on the market.

Oh, and I love your sig pic. What a lovely sight. Makes me hard in seconds every time I see it! :D
