I was at the Staples store yesterday, at the photo copy center. There were 5 broken photocopy machines and 5 working machines. Yet only 3 were in use the whole time I was there. Now that they have changed to the prepaid cards to make your photo copies. The amount of people using the machines have dropped by about 80%. Two years ago when they had the honor system and people told the cashier how many copies they made, there were more machines and line ups to have your photo copy made. I suspect that a lot of people did not pay for these photocopies and just walked out or they paid for less photocopies than they actualey made. So, what cracks have these scum scurried into? What holes have they went to hide?

Plus you have to wait in line to get the key to begin with and you may not even know exactly how many copies you want, which means you'll either overpay or you'll underpay and have to get back in line.

So now I just do all my copying at work. :p

I will NOT use staples for any photocopying or faxing. I had to send a legal document to a lawyer (about 60 pages) and when presented with the bill they wanted to charge me $60.00 plus tax. I literally said WHAT THE FUCK? SIXTY FUCKING DOLLARS (and yes, I DID raise my voice).

I said: I didn't want to BUY the fricken machine!
Clerk: do you want to speak to the manager?
Me: HELL yes

So the manager comes over and says:
What seems to be the problem?
Me: your insane rates for faxing, I read your little flyer here and it didn't list the rates. I assumed it would be the same or cheaper than a photocopy since I don't use any paper, toner, or time.
Manager: Well our rates are $1.00 per page.
Me: I walk over to a pile of fax machines on a pallet, bring one back and say: THIS WHOLE MACHINE is only $50.00!!!!
Manager: Well, what do you think is a reasonable price?
Me: $5.00 MAX
Manager: ok, $15.00
Me: Here's $10.00. I'm leaving now and if you want to call the cops, go for it (and I walked out of the store).

A machine that is used a lot in commercial locations like big companies staples ect is worth about $5000. A copier can be worth a lot more $10000
to 1.5 million depending on what it can do and speed

I pay 50 cents per page at the local internet cafe. The cost is not so much the fax machine but the cost of transmitting data.
