Hilarious. This vaccine passport system will collapse. Mark my words.
This a political passport with many rabbit holes and is porous as hell. Maybe it might work if the double vaccine was the final solution and cured the pandemic but this is clearly and ominously not the case. The UK wisely rejected it, at least for now. Ford resisted but cave in as there is a provincial election next year.
No matter what Ford does, He is losing the election next year. The anti-vaxers hate him, the anti-maskers hate him, the woke hate him, students hate him, parents hate him, teachers hate him, unions hate him, small business owners hate him, everyone hates him.
Actually if you look at the Ontario numbers they seem to have flattened. It seems that for our current level of lockdown [which isn't very harsh] having over 75% vaccinated seems to be enough to make things stable. If we can bump that to 85% [if all the one dose people get the second dose] and bump the 1 dose rate a bit higher, I'd suspect we would see numbers start to drop even with a reduced lockdown. Personally I hope they get rid of mask rules [no big deal] and vaccine passports last.
So I would say it is clearly the case that the double vaccine at least of the mRNA ones if wide spread enough would solve the problem.
Also Final Solution, you should spend 14 days in camp and become a lamp for such stupid comments.

True about the hatred, but the opposition NDP is a non starter for most voters and the Liberal Party has yet to recover from the Wynne and McGuinty horror show. So who will take Ford down ? Also the Ontario government party is almost always never the same party as the Federal government.
We are in a pandemic which by definition is global not Ontario centric so your myopic local view means nothing to this virulent, ever mutating virus which still has a lot more to say yet. Do you have statistics for Ontario that those double vaccinated mRNA individuals are doing better than that were double vaccinated with Astra Zeneca ? I wouldn’t call your comments stupid but I would say that you just don’t know any better, unfortunately.
Pretty much every study that compares the mRNA vs the AZ says the mRNA is better. And if you compare our results with those who are heavy with the AZ, those results are also highly suggestive.
Also Ontario isn't the world but what is happening here is clearly an example that your comments about vaccines not being a way out is wrong. That is unless you think people in Ontario have some sort of genetic irregularity that makes vaccines work for us but a similar protocol not working elsewhere. Considering your final solution wink wink nudge nudge reference maybe you believe that.
