In a van down by the river
last night i watched a re-run of CSI Vegas. Some guy was killed in a hotel room; while partying with a girl.....blah...blah..blah.

Anyway as part of their investigations they looked for "stains" on the sheets so they could collect some DNA evidence.
During their search they stated, that regardless on how clean you might think a room is, there will be always some traces of past peformances..LOL. especially on the sheets and carpets.

Given the amount of activity that happens in a hotel room i find that quiet creepy.
Anyone knows this to be true? or is it just part of the drama of a show?

inquiring minds want to know.

It's true. There is evidence of some sort always left behind. Unless they remodel the room and rip out the drywall, carpet and replace the mattresses you will always have trace amounts of "things" left behind.

You're worried you might have been in the same hotel room as Goober aren't you?

I know....it freaks me out too.

Don't worry. I usually stay at the Salvation Army. It's cheaper, and you get a hot meal as well.

It's been good to know ya
I believe it is most definatly true. I doubt they windex the desks totally top sides and bottoms everyday. I bet they just swipe things a tad to keep the rooms clean and everyone sheds hair particles etc... that get pushed under things. Unless they are moving every piece of furniture to vacuum a room every single time parts of skin cells, hair particles everything just from people walking in the room get pushed to corners that are least frequently cleaned. You could look out a window and leave your finger prints on a window sill as well I highly doubt they wash windows even once a week.

I think for the most part they only come in change sheets look around pick things up that they see scattered about do a fast wipe down and that is it unless they really feel it is important to vacuum, but even a vacuum will push some stuff to corners that will not be touched. Then they put new towels etc... and they are out of there. The cleaning person will even leave traces that she was in the room behind. People shed skin particles and we touch everything along our paths unless you are being careful not to touch things and wearing a bathing cap or something on your head you will leave your tracks. Walls will be touched as well and who washes thier walls often?
