During the holidays what are short term volunteer gigs that are not to much paperwork and maximum impact in the GTA?

Food banks, handing out warm materials for the homeless, distributing presents for the needy, etc.
I was looking for more specifics. Many of them have long term commitments, record checks etc.
Hmmm...I would of thought many would be open to receive volunteers just for the holiday season. A friend of mine used to make a bunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, load them up in her car and go around town giving them to the homeless. Can exchange P and J sandwiches with whatever your heart desires...
Food banks don’t do checks. They use volunteers who are working off their court order community service requirements.
We tried to volunteer a few years ago, and were told that most spots were filled in October.
Just wait a day and head out with a shovel.
Create a path though the snow to the front door of a house on any street for folks that have not yet dug said path.
