I just downloaded limewire (BASIC, NOT PRO) and then downloaded what I thought to be a lot of free brianna banks porn, girls gone wild stuff....and two songs.

There is no stop, play pause button on this software for some reason. When I played the song, I couldnt stop it to play the other one.

Then, when I tried to watch the porn, it wouldn't play

I went to the "help" section, and there was no help at all there...

Anyone know whats up with this? Is this just what happens when you download basic?

I use limewire all the time but to watch movies and listen to the songs I just use windows media player but keep in mind that not all porn files may be viewed with windows media player. Media player allows for play, pause, skip etc....

If someone has a suggestion of a good downloadable viewer that would be great.

Not sure how much detail you want but I use windows explorer to go to the folder with the files, highlight the files of interest, right click and play with media player.

By the way, how sexy is it to know that a woman such as yourself is dowmloading free porn!

Tina...a lot of what you download off Lime..is crap...infected with adware and virus's

Make sure you have good antivirus installed BEFORE downloading. It will pick off the bad files before opening them.

Seriously...it is not easy to find clean files anymore.

I also suspect that many of the antivirus programs look for hack exe's. Meaning..they specifically look for something that is meant to hack legitimate programs for personal use.

I sat the other day and watched 2 different antivirus programs pick off old files on my system that had not cuased any problem for years...as A HUGE threat..in both cases it was a crack for Norton antivirus 2002...an old file on a backup drive. It wasn't a threat at all, but it said NORTON in the file header and thus it became a threat.

It was good that the software pointed it out...I deleted it..as it was an old file I had missed in a disc cleanup..loil Not worth anything to anyone. But it is interesting that that is the ONLY file 2 programs found as a problem.

Me thinks they are ganging up on us!

There are sites like The Hun's Yellow pages if you want stuff like this for free (better than limewire as you can get virus' from vid files too).

When you're downloading video files you get into the whole codec issue. There are so many codecs out there that often you won't be able to play a video file (avi, mpeg, mpg, etc) at all without downloading the correct codec first. BTW codec stands for code decode.

I beg to differ on the quality of downloaded porn, hate to admit it but I probably have countless gigs worth of porn from kazaa and limewire and the files are mainly 10 to 30 min in length.

However, I will say that kazaa is the better way to go to get porn if you can find kazaalite which is spyware free etc.

Tina, search for an application called "gspot". It's available free on many download sites. It's about 200 kb in size.

gspot identifies the type of video file, (eg: mpeg, divx, xvid, etc.), and lets you know if the file length is correct, (incomplete divx and xvid files won't play properly, etc.). It also lets you know if you have the necessary codecs installed.

You install gspot and right click the video file and "Open with" gspot. Some videos may require the following codecs to play properly:

divX: You'll hear the sound, but not see the picture if this one isn't installed.

Xvid: You need to install the Xvid mpeg-4 codec. It usually involves running a .bat file in a specific directory. There should be a text document included with the codec to explain how to make it work.

Ac3: This is for a video that has 5.1 surround sound. You'll see the picture, but not hear the sound without it.

Ogg Vorbis: Less common, but as per Ac3. Search for "Ogg Vorbis Audio codec".

Well, I've actually paid to join a few sites and adultbouncer is pretty good. For about $30.00 I can grab about 20 full lenght movies. It usually takes me about 10 minutes to download 200 mb....pretty good speeds. The files are normally broken up into 24 mb chunks (pain in the ass) but it takes about 2 minutes to download each chunk.
