My theory on what happened:

Jogger probably called out suspect for riding on sidewalk and almost hitting her, suspect took exception to that , returned and assaulted her.

The best result here would be for this piece of scum to resist arrest with a weapon and be shot dead by police.

The world is always better without garbage like this [ of any race or colour].

At one time I believed that. But I no longer believe that happens with any consistancy. At any hint of trouble they probably put him in isolation for his safety.

Even more likely this sicko would be released on bail or out in short order.

What sort of "hero" decides he's gonna flex on an old woman? What mind set is allows that? Seriously, he needs a major beating. By someone. On or off the books, so to speak.

This isn't the first or last time. Some people have a defective, glitchy software instead of a brain. There's 0 excuse for such behaviors.

HATE is on full display.

Agree. And, if their brain is that defective they need to be isolated from decent society.

Read a story about a 15 yr old kid like that, mother couldn't control him, schools couldnt, she constantly pleaded to social services, he constantly committed crimes (robbery, assault, attempted rape, etc.,) but too young to gaol, kept escaping from juvvie...eventually tried to rob an off duty copper w a gun but cop drew first and killed kid. This was a case where i hated to admit but that was the best thing for society. It was only a matter of time before that kid killed one or more people. I think he was just not wired right.

I agree. The absolute best thing for society was the above result. I am tired of failed attempts and huge costs to rehab such human trash.

The outcome you described happened more than once. Some of those teenagers grew up and continued with destructive ways, screwing up their lives and the lives of others.

And they did meet their maker, but not before a bystander recored "police brutality video" and voila, they're martyrs and crowd is burning buildings in the name of justice.

We live in extremely troubling times. Hard to really know what's what.

I’ve never understood how the law can continue to protect so-called underaged offenders when they commit serious crimes. A murder or brutal assault is serious crime regardless of the perpetrator age. Not like the damage is any less because the perpetrator is younger. 100 years ago and in some parts of the world still, by 15-16 you were considered grownup and in some cases off to war.
OFC Canadian law will probably reward the offenders while trivializing the plight of the victims, because heaven forbid the politicians get criticized by the human rights snow flakes and hypocrites.

The assaulted woman could have been your mother, grandmother , wife, sister, etc. Or, maybe the mother, grandmother, wife, sister, etc. of a liberal.

I agree sex crimes and any crimes involving violence should be treated as adults (sentence and id wise) at 16 you know full well what your doing at that age

strange that the government thinks your old/mature enough to drive a car at 16 but need extra protection when you commit criminal offences?

Science disagrees with you. The human brain isn't fully developed until about 25, most young offenders tail off at about this age and stop commit crimes. The brain of most people under 25 lacks the full capacity of self control, which is why I don't see clients under 25. They are more of a risk than more rational, older, clients.

I am actually in a class right now about youth deviance and the law, looking at the evolution of the various youth crime acts we've had in Canada. Integration and rehabilitation works exponentially better for young offenders, there just needs to be more of a focus on community building.

Even a partially developed brain should know better at any age. There will never be enough money or enough social workers to accomplish what the experts say is optimum or near optimum success. I hate the thought of rolling the dice on this type of scum if there is even a 50% chance or rehab. Society already has far too much human trash to look after.

I don’t think it was a teen at all, I think it was one of the tent dwelling, anti social personality disorders getting a free ride on our dime. All those shit heads ride stolen bikes, and cause mayhem without suffering any consequences.
