Wtf Is Up With Non English Phone Reps????

Okay, I'm all for equaity and all that bullshit, bla bla bla.
I had to call TD easy line, their 1-866-### numbered bullshit, to get a password changed.
They ask for SPECIFIC date transactions,
ie - last purchase and amount, or withdrawal and date, etc.
Fuck I CLEARLY give the rep 3 instances of big deposits into my account, as well as 1 withdrawal, combined with a US currency purchase (with the exact amount).
Not good enough (TD's policies).
What pisses me off in the process is their f'ing broken English. FFS!
I had to ask one rep, 3 times "pardon?....pardon?.....pardon???????

Are we seriously losing a lot of the (decent paying) jobs to people that can barely speak a word of English?????????????????????????
Fuck that. We're a bunch of sell outs.

Had to fucking vent.

I find that most people that I speak to now are from Indian Call Centres. They speak English, but some are very inexperienced, even in the use of salutations.

I was trying to get something fixed with Bell (there's a BIG surprise) and this lady kept starting every sentence with "I would be so happy to ...." - every single one !!! Also, she kept referring to me as Mr. Shallow (for example) not Mr. Throat. I kept telling her that Shallow was my first name and to either call me Shallow or Mr. Throat. In one ear and out the other - for the rest of the conversation she never changed.

I just received a call from a telemarketer that said is this "Mr. Shallow Throat"? Stupidly, I said "Yes". He then continued. "Hello, Mr. Shallow Throat....". and he tried to sell me on a Visa. I told him that I wasn't interested and he replied "But Mr. Shallow Throat...."

Call centers are being outsourced overseas more and more... and the only people who really want to work at fast food joints are broken English kinda people... it's not gonna change anytime soon.

The kicker of all this shit is, I called my friend who's a supervisor at a branch.
She's just got a masters or bachelors (forgot which), in business.
A year ago, she's 25, been working for TD for 2 years already.
Is very qualified, hence the supervisor position and soon to be a new position(higher), and makes LESS than these barely off the boat phone reps?
Fuck that.

I recently had a Bell home phone problem, same bullshit, trying to explain a problem to someone who was obviously reading from a script. Finally, I was able to speak to someone who'se native language is English. Profits for these companies goes way up, customer service goes way down. :eek:

whats up with some of the racist remarks aboout pakis and tim hortons etc, I understand them and yes it is annoying when most of them cant speak english in these call centers dont blame them blame the ones who hire them, what you guys feel that canadians or americans (white) csr dont make mistakes in their jobs or dont know what they are doing, well let me tell you my friends as being indian or paki what ever you call us I have be very annoyed getting wrong orders or wrong info from white csr also and other races. I hope they nuke thsi thread or stich to the tread topic without having to call people names becasue of their race or accents.

Next time you buy something check out the cashier, and see if he/she would know how much change to give you with out the register telling them. What are they learning in school, are the teachers actually teaching them? They don't know how to multiply, add, subtract....I guess we can blame that on computers, and calculators.
