According to the Witches Janet and Stewart Farrar, who held a pantheistic, duotheistic and animistic view of theology, Wiccans "regard the whole cosmos as alive, both as a whole and in all of its parts", but that "such an organic view of the cosmos cannot be fully expressed, and lived, without the concept of the God and Goddess. There is no manifestation without polarization; so at the highest creative level, that of Divinity, the polarization must be the clearest and most powerful of all, reflecting and spreading itself through all the microcosmic levels as well

Excerpt from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicca

I think they are saying the abstract God must be expressed in some form we can understnd IE polarized

It is my understanding that "polarization" refers to the dual nature of the Divinity - i.e., it is an assertion of divine sexuality and hence, a good reason to celebrate all things sexual.

Animism (from Latin anima "soul, life")[1][2] is a philosophical, religious or spiritual idea that souls or spirits exist not only in humans but also in animals, plants, rocks, natural phenomena such as thunder, geographic features

Pantheism is the view that the Universe (Nature) and God are identical. Pantheists thus do not believe in a personal, anthropomorphic or creator god.

Wicca is typically a duotheistic religion, worshipping a Goddess and a God

The Manifestations of God are the only channel for humanity to know about God, and they act as perfect mirrors reflecting the attributes of God into the physical world

What is throwing me off is the use of the word "polarization"

Polarization in this case refers to the splitting of the Christian 'God' into two polar opposites, the God and Goddess.

This is right - two halves make the whole. Think of the Asian symbol, Yin/Yang. If you are really interested in getting a good, introductory understanding of Wicca & the occult in general, a book called "Positive Magick" by Marian Weinstein is a good read. :)

I want to see a witch SP :)
One time a stripper was chatting me up, and told me she was Wiccan. In my best Elmer Fudd voice I said, "Good, I wike a widdo wiccan". I thought I was hilarious (I may have been a bit drunk). She wasn't impressed.

So they ae saying the abstract God must be expressed in some form we can understnd IE polarized which means creating a God and godess (which is something we are capable of understanding) but this polarization is merely a symbolic reference point that allows our limited minds to grasp the concept of something greater

it makes as much sense as any other religion, i could break down the individual words but it is so much more fun as a sentence

To me it makes a lot of sense as it seems like a philosophy more than a religion

They also believe in living in Harmony WITH NATURE AND HUMANISM

THEY ARE AN OPPRESSED GROUP AS MUCH AS ANY MINORITY

Now explain the Christian Trinity
