Would You Date Your...

To avoid legal problems, let's say you just graduated from high school. You are 18+ and single. Your FORMER teacher is HOT and bumps into you on the streets. He/she is only about 5-8 years older than you asks you out on a date. Would you say yes or no? Remember, he/she just finished teaching a whole semester of boring science, math, english, and whatnot.

When I was doing post-graduate study I had a very cute (female) professor, about my age whom I'd have dated in half a heart beat. Unfortunately, there was a fraternization rule regarding Professors and Graduate/Professional Students, and by the time I graduated she was unavailable.

Only thirty years ago, such policies still generally only dealt with under-graduates. Many of the older generation of professors would have been "jammed up" under the current rules since nationaly a large percentage are married to former Graduate Students in their departments.

Of course this is an entirely different situation than "High School." I'm afraid that in my school not only were most of the teachers men, but back then I wouldn't have dreamed of looking at any of the female teachers "that way" nor were more than one or two young enough to have

Why would anyone say no? Would they say "Sorry. You're very attractive, but you just taught me a whole semester of calculus."

I remember my high school english teacher, boy she was smokin' hot.

You know a elementary or secondary school teacher can actually get in trouble for dating a former student. If they can prove that the teacher was "grooming" meaning laying the groundwork while the student was still as student.

Not sure what the statute of limitation is if there is one.
