Hello all,

I'd like to request some assistance from those that are familiar with the club scene in the Ottawa area. I'm going to be heading up that way in a bit and would like a recommendation on a good nightclub that plays some good dance music. Specifically, I'm looking for Eurodance, Trance, House, that kinda stuff. I'm not looking for a SC as there will be females in attendance with me. Just looking for a rockin' club to party at for the night. If there are any clubs that may be getting live appearances from DJs such as DJ Tiesto, even better. It will most likely be on a Saturday night, but I'm not sure yet.

Oh, any info on a good hotel/motel at a decent rate to crash at after the club would be great also.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please note that I did not post this in the Ottawa Section due to this post not being a review or have anything to do with the SC, MP, or SP scene. If it's in the wrong section, I don't have a problem with it being moved.

Thanks

Best suggestion for Ottawa is to head to the byward market and scope out all of the bars. I went to University in Ottawa and as long as we went in to the market we were always able to find a place to have a good time.

Most of the clubs are in the Market or on Elgin Street.

Here are some lists of clubs:

I've been to Space and Whisky.
I think you would like Space more.
I don't know mucy about today's music, but I think Whisky is old school (the musice I listened to in high school).

For places to stay, you might get a good deal bidding on priceline.com

I haven't been in many hotels in Ottawa, but Les Suites is located in the Market and the rooms are decent with kitchen facilities.

Just pick up the Ottawa equivalent to the Now (whose name totally escapes me right now) and they will have a night club listing with the various styles of music they will play on any night. Personally I was always partial to Zaphod's as they were on the first floor but there was a SC above it so it would be convenient to slip away for a few minutes here and there to take the edge off. :D
