In my bum
My teen years i owned a 1984 Hyundai pony. Worst piece of shit of a car. It had a pull choke in the dashboard to start the engine and had the pump the pedal 10 times to crank engine. Had something like 61hp. So basically it had a lawnmower engine. Rusted to shit and engine blew up at 84000 km all within 2yrs of owning it.

To this day...............i have never seen one of these on the road. So poorly made they are now extinct like dinosaurs.

What is the biggest piece of shit of a car you've owned?

Heh. I remember seeing a Pony on the 401 around 2005 and I took a picture because they were so rare. Never had one, but knew a few people that did.

I had an Excel for about 7 years, and it was cheap and gutless but did the job until I could afford better. That was the worst for me, another early years Hyundai.

96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. First and last domestic I've owned. Was in the shop four times, for 6 days in a two week period. The last time, I drove it straight from the Willowdale Jeep to another dealer and traded it in.

My dad had a pony. Yeah he couldn't wait to get rid of it. I remember when we were planning a trip to the states he borrowed a friend's ford.

The Koreans are stubborn!

The current Hyundai's are really, really good cars. Well designed, built and serviced. But I'd NEVER own anything called a Hyundai!

Over in Korea, this is a huge, powerful and prestigious company and they are determined to make that name mean quality here.
Hyundai is a huge corporate entity, into more than just cars Rub. Speaking about their cars, they did go from shit box, rust buckets to a decent product line. Remember when Datsun and Honda made their first appearances here, same thing with their cars. Now Honda has a large market share and Datsun was phased out by their parent Nissan, who has a large market share as well.
On a side note, Hyundai builds alot of their cars in the states.

Any GM product I have ever bought has been a piece of shit. After 3 of the pieces of crap, they don't even get a look anymore.

1997 Buick Park Avenue.

- Engine had to be replaced after 120,000 km due to a cracked plastic intake manifold
- Trunk regularly flooded with rain water
- Rear window defroster caught on fire
- Horn (Alarm) would honk as I was driving down the street
- Stereo would stop working, then just as mysteriously start again.
- Transmission was a bag of shit
- Power door locks and windows broke
- Drivers side door power door lock switch fell into the door when it broke.
- It ate alternators for breakfest
- Illumination system in heater control head stopped working and it was going to cost a grand to just buy the part.

I used to be a dyed in the wool GM man. My parents always owned GMs. My grand-parents owned GMs. I used to defend GM when everyone slagged them as pieces of shit.

But after that Park Avenue, and the way GM FUCKED ME AROUND on it, I can safely say that I will never, EVER buy another GM in my life. (Hell, even when I rent a car, I won't accept a GM product.)

Plymouth Horizon, which after the first year turned into a rust bucket rattle trap, with it's own parking spot at the dealers lot, good for only going back and forth to the GO Train.

I also had one of the original Ponies. It was obviously built in a country where cold weather was not considered.
You could drive from Toronto to Timmons before the heater kicked in.
But I was just a kid still in high school and all I cared about was how great it was on gas.

Above 7
1992 Volvo 7 series wagon which I leased new. The ball joints kept breaking and there was a flaw in the fuse box which took me 18 months and about 36 fuses before I could persuade them to change it.

My worst cars were also my favourites. 1984 Mercury Capri 5.0L. The thing was a blast to drive, but was typical of domestic cars in the 80's. It just has shitty build quality. The front plastic air dams would come loose, the electrical grounds were shit, etc.

I also had an '84 BMW 318i. Underpowered piece of crap, barely worth the BMW name. Speedometer cable was busted, tape deck was jammed, and you had to pour automatic transmission fluid ion the power steering resevoir every couple hundred km. But it got me from Toronto to the Maritimes several times, and is probably spent more on coffee each month than i did on maintenance for it. I was basically ready to abandon it the day it stopped working, and I think it knew that LOL

You just described my '85 Ciera (GM) pure garbage. I only buy Toyota now. Not one problem and I've kept card for 16 years.

AMC sold a shitload of these POS vehicles......:D

Well it wasn't mine but belonged to a hottie I was living with then.
She got it with low mileage ~18,000 miles and she thought, what could go wrong.....

Well just about everything on it went!
I was always working on it or fixing it, plus it had a terrible hard ride.....like it had no suspension or shocks. Had to replace the shocks also!
George Wilcken Romney was an American businessman and Republican Party politician. He was chairman and president of American Motors, so that probably explains why it was a POS!!!

Now his son Mitt the Twitt is running for Pres.
Heaven help the USA is this silly grinning Twit wins!....:biggrin1:
