419 million to one chance pays off for Pennsylvinia woman twice lucky

(CP) - Donna Goeppert has all the luck - twice over. The Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, woman has won a second million-dollar lottery jackpot.


Earlier this year, Goeppert won a mil with a Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off ticket. She did again it last Thursday.

Lottery officials confirm she's filed a claim for the jackpot, which will take four to six weeks to verify.

Goeppert says it's just unbelievable and asks what are the odds?

Well, a Lehigh University professor calculates the odds of being a double winner at something like 419 million-to-one.

i think it is a little greedy continuning to buy lotto tickets after she already won a big jackpot. She's still probably buying them now too. Cant stop.

There was a special on A & E ( or was it the discovery channel?) about lottery winners.

If memory serves they reviewed about 10 lottery winners and out of that 10, maybe 2 were happy and still had money 5 yrs after the win. Most were broke and miserable and I think 1 was broke but said, they had a blast and it was fun while it lasted......

Lottery Winner

Yes I saw the same special on A&E.

The only people happy were the ones that paid off their homes gave some money to family and friends. Save some for their kids educations. Maybe bought new vehicles but kept their jobs or starting a dream business. I would and couldn't quit my job if I won a million. Maybe 50 million.
I still play my lotto weekly.
