Not too much info on this yet? Just heard it on the news and always find it a little disturbing when this happens with no explanation. Does anyone know if an escort works in that area? Could it be one of us? Not asking for names at all, just a little worried. Anyone?

Holy bloody paranoia,.. easy girl,.. you have a million times better chance of getting struck by lightning,.. twice, than to be murdered. The chances of any murder victim being an escort is really really fucking slim. It is very likely a domestic violence killing. Don't go gettin yourself in a lather untill you have an actual reason rather than speculation hun,.. You'll give yourself a heart attack reacting like that to stuff.

im glad its not my friend but still a death so sorry 2 hear and 4 us girls its always good 2 keep in touch cause bad stuff does happen and we dont always talk about it so when something like this comes about we are afraid cause i have known sum one who has lost there live and she was workin @ the time of... sorry if we over react sum times but its not always fun and games as it should b

I am sorry for the family and friends grieving the loss right now. I actually know friends of the family and the woman found. They are shocked and very upset about this death. It is adding insult to injury all the rumors that have gone around regarding her death. I don't see anything wrong with escorting of course but her friends and family don't feel that way. Also, this is a personal tragedy for them and her death being the exciting gossip of Durham the past few days is very upsetting as well.
On a personal note, creating fear without having all the facts is not healthy either. The amount of rumors that went around about this death was ridiculous to be honest. That is why police do investigations. A woman died and all of it sudden it came an escort who was raped and murdered?????? Then she was murdered by someone in the building???? Then she lived in the building and it was also someone in the building???? All to find out none of that was true......Crazy.
People die all the time, the percentage of them who are escorts and die from something related to this business is very low.
It is no more dangerous now in this business as it was before. All the dangers are still there and that is something everyone, hobbyist or SP, has to assess for themselves when getting into this industry. Perpetrating that fear is not needed in my opinion. Informing people of the risks is fine, but that is different then what happened here.

Don't be an ass and stir up crap about this. "Just some woman" was never meant in a negative context and you know it. Allot of people die all the time, and it sucks. Unless you start greiving over every person in the news then yeah, they are all just some guy, some woman etc. Of course this is still a very sad thing. Almost every death is. We coulden't function as people if we start taking ever death personal.
