This is a fairly big area of hobby. What kind of remote devices? Airplane, helicopter, remote vibrator?

Plenty of high tech wireless remote control possibilities, if you want to take it to the next step past Lego mindstorms (which is very cool).

You can have fun with the IRobot vacumn system........there is a port you plug your PC into and you can program them ......and clean te house at the same time.....

They work great!

For quick remote control fun, for $20 you can get a remote control switcher from home depot that will remotely turn on/off stuff. I used one to remotely lock my cat door at night.
