It must be just your experience because I've never got that feeling at any of the dozen or so restaurants I been to in the past.I'm not big into Winterlicious. In my experience, they put together some cheap fare and it's not that great.
I'd rather just go to a good restaurant and order off the regular menu at the regular prices.
BTW, I would recommend "Frank's Kitchen" on College and Clinton as a newly discovered excellent restaurant.
+ 1. You are not going to get Salad, Foie, Steak/Fish, and Dessert for $25 at any decent restaurant. It's interesting to see how so many people think it's a good deal, when in reality the restaurants are merely trying to push some volume during the slowest time of the year.Imho Winterlicious/Summerlicious is like Boxing Day for restaurants. As for the complaints of the special prix fixe menus, then don't order from them. As a foodie, I think it is a great excuse for trying something different on the menu. I've yet to have anything "bad" off any of the Winterlicious menu's.
