I agree. The guy should just get out of there asap. If this were to escalate any further I’d be concerned that she would start making false allegations to the cops against this guy to try to make herself out to be the victim.

He should just leave and come back later with the cops, a family member, or whomever to keep the peace while he gets his stuff.

People who would keep someone in a situation they don't want to be in are frightening. Clearly they have no regard for anyone else. Who knows what else they could be capable of with that kind of attitude? I have had one experience where someone tried to prevent me from leaving their home and it shook me up for a long time. I feel so bad for anyone living like this for an ongoing period.

Kudos to this man for staying composed. But should we really be astonished, considering how frequently the court and judicial system tend to presume men guilty until proven innocent... she's capitalizing on that and hoping he shoves her away.

That's a very scary situation. If it were me I'd call the cops just to help defuse the situation then get my stuff and be out of there as fast as possible. I'd really like to know the out come of this though

Wow. I think she's overwhelmed and doesn't know what to do. She wants to freeze her life at that point and is afraid to make any move let alone a wrong move. He needs to go, take what he can, keep recording on his way out, and contact an attorney.
