The joint I'm referring to is the one in my left shoulder. I've been diagnosed with a little bit of Tendonitis. I think the problem is mostly with my use of the keyboard and mouse at work and at home and how I stiffen my shoulder. I'm working it at the gym and doing lots of stretching, but over the last month or two, the flexibility, especially first thing in the morning isn't great. Moving my arm over my head can sometimes be painful.

In talking to friends and others that have suffered this condition (its part of the aging process I guess and our use of these friggen computers). I've been told there is hope. There have been studies done with Glucosamine and Chondroitin, together as a liquid or in capsule or soft cap form. Studies have shown an increase in flexibility and a decrease in pain over a two to three week period.

Question is, have any of you suffered the same fate due to the time you spend on the computer. Have you found something that works. I've ordered a better more ergonomically designed keyboard tray.

I have a shit load of problems with my shoulder due to pole dancing.. tendonities, rotator cuff injury, strained muscles n tendons etc...

I take msm with glucoasmine and it really helps... it also helps with my arthritis in my hands and knees...

Also make sure you do light stretching before you go to bed and when you wake up to help you work out the kinks n stuff.

Thanks Ashley, I will try the light stretches before hopping into bed.....what is msm. Is this in the liquid form, a gel cap or capsule. Depending upon which manufacturer you talk to, some have the opinion that the liquid version is the one that is the most usable.

As opposed to pole dancing, the tosses over the mountain bike probably didn't do me any good...........

Well I use http://www.gnc.com/product/index.js...pg=1&sr=1&origkw=msm&kw=msm&parentPage=search

along with

http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2133460&cp=2180762.2167367.2169491.2146538

Basically the msm is to help the soft tissue in your joints. Its all natural. I've used it on all my show horses for jumping to help slow down the break down of soft tissue and cartlidge in their joints, it does the same for humans(hence me taking it)

I also recomend seeing a massage therapist along with a cracker(chircopractor) at least once to help you align everything. They will also show you stretches and exercises to help you with pain management. If the pain gets too bad you can take a simple anti-inflamitory(advil) to help. The pain is caused by the inflimation in your muscles and tendons. If you've taken some spills off a bike chances are you do need a little re-adjusting of the shoulder.

Also be aware of your posture when spending so much time sitting down, poor posture will cause more pain and seizing of the tendons and muscles. Get up and do walk arounds and be sure to rotate your shoulders often. A good one is to just raise your shoulder to your ears then let them drop again, it just keeps blood flowing.

Sorry if this is jumbled and poor spelling... havnt slept yet.
