why i hate rogers sometimes...

i've been with rogers wireless for about 9 years not...had rogers cable and home phone and so on for many years. but what i cant stand about rogers is because of how they upsell and and force you to pay for extra shit you dont need.

example of my current situation....i want playboy tv...they make u not only pay for that but also other packages as pre-requisites before you're able to get it.

so you end up paying for like shit you dont need. other companies like directtv in the states just lets you pay for playboytv straight up without other bells and whistles.

soo frustrating. no one wants a cable bill that runs clear of 200 a month...

anyone have any advice how to get playboytv?

Rogers are biggest Rip-offs, its so very unfortunate that our Govt. is protecting them by not allowing other International Companies/servers to come and put up their facilities and offer their services, once two or three companies are allowed into Ontario Rogers would bend down on its knees
to protect their existing clients & competition would really open their eyes, We are paying extra-ordinary charges to Rogers, which is the costliest server company in whole of North America and rest of the world too, but still our Govt. is just watching the drama and allowing them to charge whatever they want, & poor consumers are being openly robbed of their hard earned money every month, its really very disgusting when such things are allowed to happen in a country like Canada. Hope Liberal Members of Parliament take a note of this irregualrity & save the common man from such rip-off companies.

yeah. its prety disgusting how expensive cable, internet and home phone is. like to have something simple like cable, normal high speed internet and home phone is costing us like $140 a month which i find really stupid. when i was looking into getting playboytv and the addons they made me get it will put the bill at $240..like wtf. the channel itself on directtv was like $15 as a simple addon which i felt was fair.

I had Playboytv.....
It was okay but not really worth it....like most of the channels on Rogers...

Now I don't have Cable....and I miss it sometimes (sporting events and news and occasionaly when I'm in the mood to channel surf...)

I just download my tv shows....
Including my Porn (obviously).....

This is true.

My cable company was recently bought out by "Dead Ted" Rogers. I had to go through
a painstakenly migration period, one weekend. Had to change over: Home Phone, Internet and two cable boxes (one didn't even work). After I get my first bill and noticing the internet quite slow, I call them and complain, I was promised the same service as before.
I basically told them i want my services canceled and I'll be switching to Bell.
The manager came on the phone and gave an upgrade on internet speed for the same price for one year,
and half off on two HD cable boxes for six months.
