Why do men fall for this?

Why do men fall for photos that have been obviously modified either the body or the face. I see a lot of people being surprised that the person they wanted to meet doesn’t look like their photos but when I look at the ads the photos look straight out of Uncanny Valley.

I see it on Twitter too, people will see those same women and tell them “you’re out of this world! Beautiful” damn right she’s out of this world :p

These are particularly egregious examples. Anybody who falls for an ad with pics like those in them deserve to be swindled IMO. I imagine that it will get much worse with advances in AI picture generation. It's not quite at the point where you cannot tell the difference but it's getting very close to that point

I cannot use the real photos I’ve seen because I don’t want to get in trouble but I’ve seen agencies in my city using pics that weren’t any better than those ones and clients being surprised that the women weren’t as young as their photos 😅

I think when ladies (or agencies) go too far in image manipulation then it IS reasonable to criticise a lady about her appearance when these dont match. If pics are accurate, and a client books, then he can't hyper analyse or criticise her appearance.

However, I think blokes like to wish cast and so distortions that play into their desires glossed over VS seeing them as a redflag.

Somewhat similar to your topic. It might help, to a small degree, comprehend human nature to some extent.
I believe people have been lied to for so long that they fight against the truth or find it uncomfortable to discuss it. It’s quite interesting and somewhat comical. I think the Ego plays a big part. People believe what they want to believe even when the facts or proof are in their faces.
Is it ignorance? Is ignorance a defence against comprehension? Are some people just unable to put the pieces together? Or maybe they want to, but they just can't?
Humans are so complex that I'm not sure we can ever understand all the factors that affect thought, our thought process, unconscious biases or stigmas, etc.
Great question!

I know I'm repeating what a few other members have said but clients see images like this and their brains go south or they know full well that the images are fake/stolen and they're just going in for the price.

As I've said, I think that a lot of these B&S operations know that they aren't going to get a lot of repeat business and they're counting on newbie clients who don't know better, the aforementioned, "thinking with the little head" dummies, tech illiterate older men, delusional hidden gem club members and clients who know it's a B&S but who are booking because the prices are usually low and they hope the service will be at least decent.

Hell, I've seen a few LL ads that use AI-generated images, there's even one very well-regarded provider who uses them for her ads and even blurs the face(!). Again, I think they're counting on guys who will see images like this, think with their small heads and book.

Just to add to this, I've seen guys leaving thirsty comments on images that are very obviously AI-generated on Twitter.

Good point. We are so saturated with lies we get tired of trying to decide what is the truth and give up

Politcs, advertising , marketing, religion, pyramid schemes, cults ... why do people keep falling for the same old crap ?

Tyler Henry is the latest psychic using the same old tricks of talking to the dead yet he is a darling of the dumb and famous and he sells on talk shows as they improve their ratings so they bring him on knowing he is full of it

People want to believe as it is too much work not to then after
they invest themselves into it it is hard to admit to yourself you have been fooled

As well, we do not have free will as our decisions are based on our past experiences

I learned from experience that nobody looks like the photos. I look for selfies and the only difference between the 2 is rates. Girls with professional photos have higher rates.
