I find that I am reasonably happy most of the time.

When I do get unhappy it is almost always because I have been lazy in some area, not because something has been imposed on me by the world, and I generally deal with it by getting up and accomplishing something.

I also have this incredible nonchalance about money - I have enough, so if for instance I lose some in some fashion, I really just regard it as the shape of little symbols on my online banking screen as having changed to different shapes .

I came to a similar conclusion a long time ago. Happiness is just to what we understand it to be. You cannot be static and happy so you have to force yourself out of your comfort zone to experience moments of happiness. Also, discontent is genetic as it drives us ever forward.

The only solution is to stop trying to be happy. As the video rightly points out, humans aren't capable of being happy long term. You're better off not thinking about your happiness at all, either by keeping busy, or if you're a Buddhist, emptying your mind.

The pursuit of happiness is a dumb western idea actually.

Wow. Kept the sharp things away from you.

I totally disagree.

Happiness as a stat point is not logical or attainable (as life is not static). But having a happy life is 100% possible.

I'm very happy with my life.

I find for too many people,... its all about the introduction of the next Ipoop.

People,...enjoy the the free things in life,...its a beautiful world out there.

Can't believe the number of people who line up for hours, just to be the 1st into a new store,...just fucked up.

And yes,...I'm really enjoying life,...but I did not waste my money buying shit I didn't really didn't need, or could afford,...and then,...paying 21% interest,...so I am financially secure, and able to do what I want, when I want,...I guess that helps.

But definitely not one of he obviously frustrated individuals here,...who enjoys attacking the west, and free enterprise,...not to mention a name.

I'm in a real happy place. No mortgage, retired with a decent pension, new car and no stress in my life. I fucking love it.

I am only HAPPY when I am ENDING

Seriously, this quote says it all: "Struggle is the meaning of life; defeat or victory is in the hands of God. But struggle itself is man’s duty and should be his joy.” Aga Khan III

We are our own worst enemy sometimes .

If you want to be happy let go of the things that make you sad ( easier said then done sometimes but it works ) .
