Love this cop out;

Even Apple’s iAd is at fault: Crittercism received reports that the Cupertino, California company’s advertising platform at times does not play nice with developers’ ads, causing instability.
One caveat: Crittercism’s data period is early enough that Ice Cream Sandwich crash data may not be accurately reflected. The firm says it expects the percentages of crashes on the newest version to increase significantly in future data sets.
Either way, the data puts to bed a misconception over the stability of Android, and raises new questions about iOS. Does Android have better quality developers, then? You might be able to argue yes.

I must be a really lucky guy as my phone has never crashed in two years and my battery lasts 5-7 day between charges.

I don't know about better developers but i would think developers having good access to the OS coding would make it easier to write apps that don't conflict.

Same here. Rarely a crash on iOS. I had 3-4 crashes when using my Galaxy Nexus. It was due to the best application in the whole wide world - Adobe Flash.

you must be lucky....my iPhone had more crashes than my Galaxy S2 does.....i must also assume that you only use your smartphone as a phone and rarely use apps etc. to get that kind of battery life...mine was charged nightly

Who claimed Adobe Flash was the best product in the whole wide world?
Btw, better tell "work" *cough* ;) that you think you should stick to your iPhone.
Better yet, tweet them, since you use Twitter. lol

There are 3 apps I use 'regularly', however that is defined, but yes my iPhone is a phone. If I want a computer, out comes the PowerBook, which has crashed once in 9 years and it was my fault.

That's my experience as well... but I don't really play many games on my phone (although my son does) and my phone never crashes....

I was expecting the auto synching with iCloud to have an impact but as far as I can tell it's not happened...

This explains your battery life.

In my case, the Samsung Galaxy S does not last even 5-6 hrs under what I think of as moderate usage. No crashes so far. iPhone 4 lasts 3 days or so under heavier usage. One crash (I think) in over a year of ownership.
