He's a former lawyer, a judge and a guy who, upon my first glance, appeared to be "Middle Eastern". He's also gonna be in the news a lot in the next few years. Other than that, I dunno.
I heard a piece on NPR this morning. Looks like he enjoys a degree of bipartisan support and admiration.
The adjectives used were smart, tenacious and fair. Time will tell.
He headed the Senate investigation into Whitewater. He was very tough but fair to the Clintons. Homeland Security may have gotten a guy who will actually secure the Homeland.
