Not surprised at all. I feel most companies are using inflation to increase profits. Seems like companies have doubled their mark ups.

I heard that Ticketmaster is trying to corner the market on those little numbered tickets used in old school delicatessens. Pretty soon, they'll be getting two bucks, every time someone buys a pound of sandwich meat, or some ripe cheese.

An American study a while back showed more than half of inflation was caused by corporate profits.

This recession/inflation is artificial as it was sparked by the pandemic and as things started returning to more normal costs, companies saw a great opportunity.
