This is just hearsay without evidence at all.
well of course you are dealing with the best. But the earlier view of events is equally hearsay without evidence. BTW a guy admitting someone gave him a rifle to shoot at police with.. yeah that is evidence.

The evidence required by the naysayers is nothing short of having a video of the actual shooters at the time it happened. Even the BBC itself is discredited if it doesn't conform to the narrative brainwash.

As for evidence that Yanukovytch ordered the shooting and the Berkut carried out the order, just hearsay and conjecture is sufficient to support the western mainstream propaganda brainwash.

The burden of proof required is always a function of which side asks for it.

The BBC, however, has an excellent reputation in the news business.
I failed getting the sarcasm.

BBC should not have released this article without any factual substance.

This is just another attempt at viewership

Notty, the most this proves - even if you accept it at face value - is that a single guy fired at the riot police and he claims he did that only to scare them. Given the amount of violence that had already occurred in a very violent and longstanding confrontation, a small faction of the protestors may well have wanted some payback and escalated the conflict as described.

But the Putin Line on all of this is that all or a majority of the shooting was perpetrated by the CIA and Ukrainian neo-Nazis and the Berkut was then blamed to validate the overthrow of Yanukovych. Your source does not suggest anything remotely like this scenario.

Man, you are sooooo naive... in a confrontation all it takes is a tiny spark to ignite the violence. The murky actors behind this only needed to light the match... you can look at countless scenarios like this in history, where even an accidental single gunshot has triggered a hail of gunfire. Next time there is a confrontation why don't you go there and set of some firecrackers in the front lines and see what happens. I suggest you wear kevlar. You think an media outlet like the BBC would post this just for fun? If you give the BBC no credence then all other media outlets must also be ignored as BBC is certainly one of the more credible ones, unless you listen to FOX, hate the French and think Limbough is the next prophet....and are married to your sister.
