There was also a tragedy a few years ago with a young immigrant family that was staying in the Motel. They were waiting to cross the street at Derry and Steeles . A semi lost control, ran up the sidewalk and killed the most of them. I believe the Motel management set up a trust fund and helped cover the funeral expenses.
