After Brazil lost, I have to put my bet on Germany now. I think they are a solid team, plays excellent on both offense and deffense and have killer penalty kicks.

I think Germany, especially with home town advantage.
My worst fears, Italy vs Portugual. Then we can find out which fans are the worse. Either was stay away from St. Claire if you ain't a fan.

I'm pulling for Germany for two main reasons:
In the group phase, they played the most exciting and positive games of all the remaining teams. This has been a disappointing World Cup compared to 2002, an ominous comeback for negative soccer. Nothing would send a worse message than for a team like Italy to be rewarded.
The second reason is purely selfish. The German supporters in Toronto figure to be less obnoxious and cause me fewer traffic headaches than any of the the other contenders.

my opinions,
Italy has the most determination. (very headstrong even amongst all the scandals in Italy)
Germany is in the best overall physical shape.
Portugal is fairly healthy.
but, France looks even fresher now than they did a month ago.

Looks like Italy wont have Nesta tomorrow...Dirtarazzi could and will probably step back in there, that guy is a red card waiting to happen
