I turns out that one nation's scientists (supposedly male) are credited with discovering the clitoris. Which nation is it?

Oh yeah, the Spanish discovered North America in the 1400s.
And USA won the Vietnam war.

If I had to pick an ancient civilization that discovered the clitoris I would guess the Egyptians. Among other wild things they were doing brain surgery back then.

That's nuts if women had no idea they had clits till the 17th century. Then to top it off they most likely had larger families. To think women were so blind not to know what was giving them stimulation. It's on the outside and well the obvious is it must get banged at some time. It was a cute idea but even your outrageous source isn't actually claiming that the clitoris was discovered by scientists. What the site states is that:

"Medical literature first recognised the existence of the clitoris in the 16th century."

Of course women would have been aware of their own bodies as far back as there have been women...even before the Greeks! It's just that doctors didn't really care about them until much more recently.
