Toronto
OK, everyone here know's that Toronto is the biggest city in Canada both in population and financially. But if you had a choice to move to either Buffalo, Hamilton or Ottawa, which one would you choose???

I would choose none of them.

I would choose Hamilton. Since amalgamation, Hamilton now includes areas such as Dundas, Watertown, and Flamborough ... which all happen to be very nice communities in which I would not mind living. Besides, Hamilton is closest to Toronto (distance-wise).
You don't belong here...that was way to well thought out

Snow

I would also choose none of them. I hate snow.

If the US had legal SPs: Phoenix, Vegas, or Miami.

Australia or New Zealand might be possibilities too.

If I had to stay in Ontario, I'd pick a small town somewhere south of Windsor (Amherstburg, or Leamington, or somewhere like that). Best weather in the province, a 4-5 hour drive to Toronto or Chicago, and a great head start on warmer climes in the US, if I still got fed up with winter.

I wouldn't mind living in Ottawa,

Buffalo is just a very unattractive city and I hate Buffalo Bills

Hamilton, won't live there

Each of those cities is friendlier and cheaper to live in than Toronto, probably also save a ton just because hobbying wouldn't be as interesting.
I'd go with Hamilton.

You forgot one option: Anywhere BUT Toronto. I'm pretty sure that TO is getting sucked down into the seventh level of hell at the moment.

Without a doubt, the most attractive place to live in Canada is Victoria, B.C.

Ottawa

Ottawa....even though it is fat cat city....we are in between two great cities that have alot of great ladies that travel to us.......

Besides......when it snows in Ottawa we can handle it......unlike some cities that have to call the Military........ :D

Ottawa or Vancouver?

I clicked on Ottawa. Then had second thoughts and thought should have clicked on none of the above. I lived in Ottawa for 5 years from '91 till '96 and except for the brutal winters they have there I enjoyed it very much. I have always said though that when I retire I would like to move to Vancouver (also lived there for 5 years from '81 till '86) but now I hear that the cost of living there is just as high as here so that kind of dampened my enthusiasm for retiring there.

When I lived in Vancouver we use to call Victoria "The city of the newly wed and nearly dead". Seems there was not many middle aged people there. It was all new families or retired people.
