Where do you look for ads?

I only go by Terb. I avoid Backpages like the plaque. There are too many back stories to quite a few of the paid advertisers on the blue board, so I avoid their ads. Most Ladies that advertise here also advertise on the third GTA review board C****, so it does not add any value. Also, massage does not seem to be a significant part of those other two review boards, whereas Terb has tons of massage enthusiasts. Tons!
Advertising on Terb with a decent, informative link to your own website is likely your best bet.

Terb bonus, there are some very supportive SW ladies here. Also, if you get going as an Indy you might want to consider an active Twitter account. Actually lots of the MP MPA's have accounts. Many of the men on Terb, myself included, are on Twitter and follow lots of the ladies. I have seen quite a few ladies from Twitter as a result of Twitter fun.
I have to agree with Celticman--you really get to know the personalities of the ladies and gentlemen in this hobby on Twitter. The ladies advertise their availability, post interesting and intriguing pictures and connect with their clients and potential clients in a way you can't really do on the boards. Of course we still need the boards for this sort of thing, along with the reviews.
Tyra, I follow a couple of Tyra Twitter accounts. Neither of them is really active. If one of them is you, activity and interactivity is important, including following known (sane) hobbyists.
At a guess, I have seen a dozen ladies because they caught my attention (code for lust :encouragement: ) on Twitter. Chloe is right, take her advice. BTW, she is one of the dozen!
Twitter is the best way to keep tabs on your favorite ladies. As long as both of you check it regularly, it's a great way to hook up.
So where do the girls of summer advertise these days? You know, the ones who used to hang out on Church in the old days, the ones who advertised free on Craigslist, essentially the non-pros trying to pick up some cash during the summer ...
Agreed, you can get a better sense of one's true personality by reviewing their Twitter feed. That, though, can be a double-edged sword. I've been put off a few ladies after what I've read too.
There's maybe 5-6 agencies I check (Cupids, TDL, Mirage, TP, Jersey Girls, SexyFriends). And that's it. Indies are overpriced, sometimes don't back to you, and seem to have a more limited travel sked (I do outcalls), and I never will trust Backpages or any other kind of classified ad style (whatever else there is aside from BP).
Some SPs have Twitter accounts which is better, since selfies are genuine and not photoshopped bullshit. But sometimes you have to weed through them as they often will combine selfies with fake looking pics that some guy using Adobe's thinning and airbrushing tools had tweaked for the few hours before "sending for approval". Also, sometimes they show their face. You also get to see their hair style and colour as it is now. Web site profiles don't do re-shoots for ages (some only do them once and let those pics live on the internet for 5 years), and few will have a note that an SP just changed her hair.
