what's the best intimate and cosy lounge in Toronto?

I need a little help being someone from the burbs...

I want to take a non-pro female friend for a quiet intimate drink or two in Toronto.

Hopefully if all goes well we would head to a nearby hotel afterwards.

So Ideally somewhere that you can have a quiet conversation of a personal nature, it would be great if they had loveseat or something similar, and a fireplace... hey we are the best city in the nation so there has to be somewhere like this...

Can anyone help me out with a suggestion?

This place -Laide on Adelaide Street around Jarvis is cool. A little more hip and modern though. They show these old black and white porno clips on the wall which could be interesting with the right woman.

La Castile - North side of Dundas street near 427 has cozy nooks in the piano par lounge area.

Take her to the roof at the Thompson at King and Bathurst. You can't get up there if you don't live here or are a guest, but PM me if you want in as I live here and can tell you who to ask for. Drinks are ridiculous, but best views of the city by far.
