I suspect that if this ended up in court, he would lose. He left her with the impression that he would pay for the extra services but then didn't pay. She could argue that had she known she would have to pay, she wouldn't have had the extras done. So he may be responsible for the extras, but not the original $500, Having said that, wtf could possibly cost $500 at a nail salon?

I would root for the guy in this situation.....but technically he did agree to it, and there were probably witnesses. I think its a total asshole move for her to set him up like that....but legally, a verbal agreement is as enforcable as a contract.

He should have just been man enough to say no and leave right away. Not encourage her to get more services.

They are both wrong. She should have paid her bill and met him after for a proper date.
I think a lesson was in order here. Normally I would agree but this was just so over the top to do this one needed a serious lesson in entitlement.

And she "should have been WOMAN enough" not to be a gold digging bitch.

See what I did there?

I said both were wrong. I didn’t leave her out of the blame. She was wrong in what she did, but in my opinion, so was he. He should have just walked away. Even if he stayed and slipped out before the bill and she thought he was paying the 500 but he went further and told her to add services.

You are getting off on the revenge. I just don't see it that way. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I see it less about revenge and more about a lesson. You could see him calculating it.

Jen, times have really changed with some ladies. When I was dating this just never would have happened. Ladies were nicer, far less entitled, and there was far less game playing. We dated, and if it wasn't working out walked away with little acrimony.

In turn guys took the L for being turned down generally better(always some assholes mind) and just moved on.

I see this as a big old well deserved joke and lesson on someone who really needs it.

I get how you see it and why, I just don’t agree. I would laugh at her entitled ridiculousness and leave if I was a guy. I would never do this as a woman. Just to be clear on that as well.

Not that I date anymore, I have no interest in it or I’m having a relationship but when I did, I didn’t want expectations so I always paid my own way. If pigs start flying and I do decide to try dating again, I will continue with that and pay my way. I think this woman sucks and he dodged a bullet, he just didn’t have to throw the bullet back at her. That is just my opinion though.

We did not know if he did agree to the services...it's what the lady claims to the reporter...
