What would The Lord do if He reads all the threads on TERB ?
I bet you He would be extremely shameful, at the very least, about the sinful behavoirs on TERB.
At the worst, He might punish you severely, the ultimate punishment, if you know what I mean!!!!!

Naw, God loves sinners. Makes the old guy feel useful with all the repenting and forgiveness. Then there are all those people to convert. The Lord loves a good challenge. It's those ass-kissing Ned Flanders types that really piss him off.

Are you the one who keeps sending me the 'repent now, sinning harlott!' emails? If so, let me point out that God and I were talking the other day, and She mentioned She had a special corner of hell already chosen for spamming assholes.

Also, 'Harlot' only has one 't'. Jesus said to mention that you should invest in a spell checker.

If I am not mistaken, the Lord, Jesus Christ gave into temptation once. If it happened once, who is to say it could not happen again? The likes of Tarah, Jenna and Vanessa Valentine could be very tempting.

Lets see in biblical times:

A man could have as many wives as he wished.

Adultery was a property crime violating the husbands rights over his wives.

There is never a case of a man having sex with a single women that was wrong unless it was a temple prostitute worshipping the fertility gods.

A man could have as many concubines as he could afford for breeding and pleasure.

None of these things was every wrong per the bible and Jesus never said a word about them.

The "Great men of the bible" had women too many to count.

And "common" prostitutes are often mentioned in the bible with no negative inference other than don't spend too much instead of providing for your family.

The religious right and traditional Christians have hijacked the bible by mistranslations of words like the greek porneia and ignoring what the text meant in the language and times in which it was written.

The essence of religion.

No such thing as God only people who can't face up to their own mortality and need a crutch in the form of religion. Maryland, dude, you are so chained up by religious repression and the inner conflict you undoubtedly are experiencing must be something awful. I think it would be best to tell you now that religion and Jesus are the "Santa Claus" for weak-minded adults. Religion is no better than drugs for enslaving your mind in a futile attempt to play hide and seek with reality and can be argued that in its global totality is more dangerous to mankind especially in the long run because of how repression oftentimes manifests itself into twisted hate justified in really warped ways.

These are all Old Testament references. But when Jesus showed up (yes, He really did exist, there are lots of extra-Biblica references about him), He said, "This is my blood of the new covenant (Mark 14:24)" which, essentially, meant that the old purity laws and whatnot were now irrelevant.

Remember, it also says in the Old Testament that you cannot interact, or even converse, with a woman who is menstruating, you can sell your daughters as slaves, and a whole other host of laws and commandments that we would now find repugnant.

So to use Old Testament scripture as an argument for OR against prostitution is on pretty shaky ground.
