Yeah, I could see this happening for revenge on a cheating spouse....and is the woman supposed to say to the approaching rapist: "wait a second I have to insert my teeth" either that or she's supposed to wear it all the time.....and that could be trouble if she gets a little drunk, picks up a guy and forgets she's got it on....YEOUCHfantasiafan said:LOL serves them right!

Not exactly new.
Saw a documentary on this. Lotsa patents and inventions dating back to the middle ages. Old ones were made out of wood and metal. Painful for both the woman and the rapist, sometimes more so for the woman.

TO me it doesn't seem like a strong case against the device. Some people are sick and will use all sorts of items to harm someone else. It's not a flaw of the device, it's a flaw of the person.
I definitely the greater potential harm is something like getting drunk and forgetting it's there, as someone else said.
